An encyclopedia of the short story, \u201ca modern <em data-start=\"182\" data-end=\"193\">Satyricon<\/em>,\u201d as Pasolini himself described it. The culmination of that \u201ccontamination of styles\u201d with which the poet characterized his work; a work that was intended to overflow the boundaries of the novel and be completed with
